Adani approval rushed?

“The CSIRO, whose advice was cited alongside that of Geoscience Australia as the basis [for final federal government environmental approval] , says it was only responsible for answering a narrow set of questions, not giving the project’s whole groundwater plan a tick of approval. The CSIRO has revealed that the undertaking Adani gave to improve its plans, which preceded federal govenment approval, allows it to take up to two years to redesign and check its own modelling.” — Karen Middleton

The Federal government’s unusual decision to seek a dissolution of Parliament early Thursday morning meant that the Senate questioning of CSIRO was cancelled as parliament prorouged.
